Thanks, 23 Things On A Stick

Thanks to the 23 Things On a Stick initiative, a statewide program brought to you by Minnesota’s seven multicounty multitype library systems. The first "thing on a stick" is to create a blog, so here we are. 22 to go.

BTW, how can we find the 23 Things on a Stick list? Can you post a link to it?

Why, yes, Fresca I can:

and if I wasn't such a total neophyte I probably would have thought of that originally.

I missed the registration date, so I'm actually skulking along in the shadows alongside the legit librarians.

OK, so I looked at the 23 Things on a Stick FAQ, but it never answered my most burning question--why "on a stick"? Is this a deliberate reference to State Fair food? :)

Bizarre questions aside, I love the concept and the 23 things. I'll be curious to see what you think of del.ici.o.us--one of those things everyone raves about and I've looked at and it just looks like Too Much Hassle for me.

Also: I am on the ground in Detroit, obviously! :)

Cool! Thanks! I am only a "once-was" librarian, but I am still enscited about learning this sort of stuff... I can skulk alongside you, vicariously... : )
P.S. No one outside of MN would ask "why on a stick?" eh? Yep--it's our famous State Fair food, which includes everything from Deep-Fried candybars on sticks to Dirt-Dipped-in-Fat on a Stick (just kidding about the latter).

Jen, I was a bit surprised, too, that you would even need to ask! Of COURSE it's a reference to the State Fair. Isn't everything?

*hangs head in shame* I blame being out of the state for almost a decade now...my Minnesota instincts have become fatally dulled...
